Today, I want to talk about where I see my future with this amazing organization.

Looking ahead, I see my role in Steel City Codes growing and evolving in some pretty cool ways. Right now, I'm the regional director of my own chapter in Carrollton, and that's been such a rewarding experience. But this is just the beginning.

First off, one of my main goals is to solidify and expand my chapter. Right now, I have a steady group of students, but I want to reach even more kids in my area. I plan to continue working with local schools to promote our chapter and attract new students. I also want to bring more teachers on board so we can offer a wider variety of classes and activities. The more diverse our offerings, the more students we can engage and inspire.

Another big goal is to deepen my own knowledge and skills. As much as I love teaching, I’m also a lifelong learner. I want to dive deeper into advanced coding topics, explore new technologies, and bring that knowledge back to my students. This will not only make me a better teacher but also help me contribute more effectively to Steel City Codes as a whole.

In the near future, I see myself taking on more leadership roles within the organization. I’d love to be involved in creating new curriculums, organizing larger events, and maybe even helping other new chapters get started. I’ve learned so much from running my own chapter, and I want to share those insights with others to help them succeed.

I’m also really interested in the idea of mentoring. Just as I’ve had amazing mentors guide me, I want to be that person for someone else. Mentoring younger students or new chapter leaders would be such a fulfilling way to give back to the community and ensure the continued growth and success of Steel City Codes.

Looking further down the line, I hope to see Steel City Codes expand even more globally. It’s so inspiring to think about how we could bring STEM education to underserved communities all around the world. I want to be a part of that expansion, working to establish new chapters in new regions and helping to adapt our programs to different cultures and educational systems.

On a personal level, Steel City Codes has given me a clear sense of purpose and direction. I’ve always been passionate about STEM, but this organization has shown me how I can use that passion to make a real difference in the world. It’s helped me develop important skills like leadership, communication, and empathy, and I know these skills will be invaluable no matter what career path I choose.

As I continue my journey with Steel City Codes, I’m also excited about the connections and friendships I’ll make along the way. The people I’ve met so far—students, fellow volunteers, and leaders—have all been incredibly inspiring. Building a network of like-minded individuals who are all committed to the same cause is one of the best parts of this experience.

In conclusion, my future with Steel City Codes looks bright and full of possibilities. Whether it’s expanding my chapter, taking on new leadership roles, mentoring others, or helping the organization grow globally, I’m ready to dive in and make the most of every opportunity. This journey has already been amazing, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next. 🚀💻
