A Beginner’s Exploration of Physics and Architecture

Building the Balsa Wood Bridge

Measure balsa wood into 88 pieces, each 1.5 inches long.
Initial Assembly:
Line up a row of 10 pieces and glue them together with supports. Repeat this for another set of 10 pieces.
Triangle Design:
Take 22 sticks and create the triangle design between the rails.
Painting:
Paint the rails with acrylic paint for aesthetics.
Repeating Assembly:
Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 for another set of rails.
Final Assembly:
Glue sticks between the two sets of rails and add supports on both ends to complete the bridge.
